Happy Holidays! What an eventful year we have all been through globally. There are very few times in life that someone across the world can corroborate your experience being home in lockdown and understand wholeheartedly how that feels. We have had some low lows, and very high highs. Overall, 2020 has taught us all that we all bleed red in the most passionate and heartbreaking way. However, it has also taught a lot of us how to show up for each other in real and meaningful ways without neglecting the person in the mirror.

This holiday season looks very different for a lot of us for many reasons. My husband and I’s Christmas festivities include 2 other family members and that’s it! We are happy and content. It is okay to hold off on major celebrations till next time if it means preventing the spread of this very real disease. This year, my family and I have decided to support local restaurants by purchasing our holiday meal Christmas Eve. In this post, I am highlighting a local favorite of ours, Barcelona Wine Bar in West Hartford, CT. Fun fact: Barcelona is where I had my bachelorette party dinner. I love going there! Their menu offers a variety of shareable tapas, large plates featuring a variety of paellas and my new favorite, the chicken pimientos. Also, Sunday brunch pre pandemic had the most beautiful Bloody Mary and mimosa bar in the Central region.
