Slippin' into Fall

NOTHIN’ BETTER THAN A SLIP DRESS…

Shop the Post:

We are fully into fall, but this year, I missed a whole month of the season due to traveling in Africa. I certainly have no regrets about it because nothing compares to being home. However, there is something absolutely glorious about fall in New England that really has captured my entire soul. I am glad to be able to still experience the wondrous colors of the trees, pumpkin lattes, and just so much more the season offers.

In regards to style, fall can be an awkward time. Obviously, you have to switch up your color palette for richer and warmer hues but sometimes the weather is still stuck in that late summer heat. This is where one can utilize the beautiful thing called “layering”. There is no better dress to layer than a slip dress. It is easy, not fussy, doesn’t bunch up, but also dangerously sexy. There is something to be said about the way the satin fabric gently rests on on your skin and follows every curve of your body so effortlessly. It is the way I can throw on a duster or even a top coat if its cooler and still feel my best. I love that you can pair this dress with a pair of heeled sandals if its warmer and your must dress it up a bit but also you can throw on a pair of booties or boots and still look fabulous queen! It is the VERSATILITY for me.

I hope that your transition into the new season is going fairly well. Small updates about my life: I am turning 30 this month (gasp), I will be traveling to California for my 30th birthday, I started my 2nd year of my DNP program, and I am actively searching for a pet I can call mine. Until next time my dear loves, big bisous!
